Nonprofit Spotlight #1: the Loveland Foundation

Lately, I’ve been thinking it would be a good idea to spotlight some nonprofits for three reasons: (1) it may help these organizations get donations. (2) it may be helpful in identifying referrals for clients. And (3) maybe there will be some opportunities to volunteer at some of these places that readers can look into.

Hopefully, these short articles will be helpful!

Disclaimer: I am not associated with the Loveland Foundation in any way. I am not being paid in any way. This article is for informational purposes only.

What is the Loveland Foundation?

  1. They provide funds for Black women and girls to receive 4-8 sessions of therapy. They partner with Therapy for Black Girls, National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network, Talkspace and Open Path Collective to provide therapy.

  2. Rachel Cargle is the founder. She is an activist and has a TEDx talk: Coming to Terms With Racism's Inertia: Ancestral Accountability (click to watch).

  3. From what I can tell they are a growing foundation under Cargle’s leadership
