Make sure you understand the many different jobs you can have as a social worker (tip: search ACSW or MSW in any job search engine to see what jobs turn up). The worst thing would be if you start your degree, only to realize you meant to be a psychiatrist or a psychologist (for example).

Also, you are going to network throughout your time there, so you probably want to go to a school near where you want to live after graduation.

There was a school I chose to NOT go to because the staff was very cold on the phone whenever I called for information. No regrets.
