For Nonprofit Spotlight #2, I wanted to talk about a foundation that I would like to volunteer at soon (after this pandemic). I learned about it a few months ago and volunteered to plant trees with them, but then the pandemic hit so I have to wait.

What is TreePeople?
They are an environmental nonprofit that primarily works to plant trees around the LA area to fight climate change, cool the city, and clean the air.
They provide learning resources for anyone, but also for teachers to use in their classrooms.
They also have resources to help young students make eco clubs.
Lastly, they work to advocate for policies to help climate change.
