Positive Affirmations For Social Workers (And Other Mental Health Professionals)

As a very eager, but continuously learning, social worker, I get caught up in thinking that I'm not quite sure what I'm doing most of the time. Here are some affirmations that I tried to create for myself and others:

  1. There are many right ways to do something

  2. I learn from my mistakes.

  3. One small act of good matters.

  4. I can change things for the better.

  5. I have value in my field.

  6. One mistake does not define me.

  7. It is okay to ask questions.

  8. Worrying means I care, so some worry is okay.

  9. It is okay to speak up with an idea.

  10. It is okay to ask for what I want.

  11. Caring about my clients is 99% of the battle.

  12. Who I am is all I can be.

  13. There are resources and people who can help me.

  14. I accept myself for who I am and where I am.

  15. My supervisors and mentors once stood in my shoes.

  16. I am good at ______.

  17. ________ praised me for _________.

  18. Taking care of myself helps me help others.

  19. I can set any goal for myself.

  20. I am important to others.

  21. I cannot solve every problem that I see. I contribute to solutions by doing my best in my small part of the world.
