As a very eager, but continuously learning, social worker, I get caught up in thinking that I'm not quite sure what I'm doing most of the time. Here are some affirmations that I tried to create for myself and others:
There are many right ways to do something
I learn from my mistakes.
One small act of good matters.
I can change things for the better.
I have value in my field.
One mistake does not define me.
It is okay to ask questions.
Worrying means I care, so some worry is okay.
It is okay to speak up with an idea.
It is okay to ask for what I want.
Caring about my clients is 99% of the battle.
Who I am is all I can be.
There are resources and people who can help me.
I accept myself for who I am and where I am.
My supervisors and mentors once stood in my shoes.
I am good at ______.
________ praised me for _________.
Taking care of myself helps me help others.
I can set any goal for myself.
I am important to others.
I cannot solve every problem that I see. I contribute to solutions by doing my best in my small part of the world.
